Overview	Be part of a small, Shibuya-based web agency specializing in the design and development of custom-coded web applications and cutting-edge, multilingual websites. Our work includes ecommerce systems, social networking sites, corporate websites and more. We have a focus on food, wine, luxury brands and other areas that serve the foreign community in Japan.
Summary	Development and support of custom web applications, database design, system architecture and specification. Additional activities related to ongoing technology projects either in an advisory or participant role may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities	Responsible for the development, testing and deployment of custom web applications and services Comprehensive experience with structuring, developing, and implementing websites and multilingual CMSs Design, develop, and update databases as they relate to Web applications Develop Web 2.0 applications using Ajax and other technologies Identify and resolve browser compatibility issues Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing web applications Develop web services and middle-tier objects Solid understanding of application development methodologies and life-cycle Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements Experience in defining functional requirements Experience with computer graphics
Salary	Commensurate with experience and capabilities
Working Hours	Monday through Friday, 9：00 to 18：00 (flexible)
Non-working Days	Weekends and National Holidays
General Skills	5+ years related work experience. Good communication and organizational skills. Highly self motivated and directed. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Experience working in a small, team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Required Technical Skills	ColdFusion MX 7/8 or other web application development language, SQL Server 2000/2003, Microsoft Office 2000/2003, Microsoft Visio, Adobe Acrobat.
Programming Languages	ColdFusion 7/8 (highly desirable) or LAMP/ASP/.NET, CSS, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, XML, SQL
